Bridal Training

One of the greatest assets (in my opinion) about photography in general is, you can never learn it all. There is always something else to try, a new trend emerging, or another aspect to pursue. It never gets boring.

As a part of my never ending training I was fortunate to attend a bridal portrait training class this weekend. I learned a lot both from what the instructor said, and from watching other photographers work.

Here are a few shots from my camera that day:

**edited (7/2/09): I found out tonight that the bride in my original pictures had not been married yet. I thought that they had told us both our models were already married. However, since she has not yet been married I am removing her pictures from this site on the off chance her groom might stumble upon them. I am replacing them with pictures I just finished editing of the other bride.

Summer

This family told me they had never had their portraits taken any other time than at Christmas time. I think they will agree that despite the heat, summer time makes for some beautiful pictures. We were even fortunate enough to have a breeze to help cool us off the entire shoot.

Once again, I was blessed to meet a wonderful family. The girls made me smile, and the mom and dad seemed more like my good friends than people I had just met.

Smashingly Good

This morning we visited our friend who is about to have her first birthday. We had a little pre-celebration, or at least she did. She loved her cake, and we could not stop giggling as we watched.

Sunshine and Love

This family faced the hundred degree weather with me tonight. It was hot, but we had fun.

These pictures are full of bright sunshine and lots of love. And I must say, sunshine and love make one great combination. I was bursting with excitement to get home and see these beauties on my screen.

Sisters

This set of sisters could not be any cuter. I love sisters, and it does not hurt that these two remind me of my girls at their age.

Tutu Cute

I got to play at the park today with this cute girl and her pretty mommy. This girl has some seriously beautiful eyes, and sometimes she was generous enough to share them with me.

New Addition

Last night a new addition joined my family of camera equipment. I finally got the lens I have been waiting for! I am sure I will be spending much of the weekend looking through my new lens.

Fields of Gold

Yes, you have seen these cute kiddos and their mommy before. This was part of the same shoot, just a different location and before Dad joined us. We were just off the side of a road and all I could think of while we were shooting was the old song "Fields of Gold."

Breathtaking

I had to share one more image from my "One Sweet Family" shoot. When I first opened this on my computer it took my breath away. The light between their lips makes the image for me.



It might have been "one sweet family", but it was also one hot couple.
